Matthews Alive

AKA Stumptown :) We went to a fall festival in Matthews today. The kids had a great time. It was the first time we have been to something like that. They had food, rides, games and all Andrew wanted was a balloon. We found him one. It was outrageously expensive. We were with some neighbors so it was 16 bucks for the Dad's to go down the slide with the boys. Ridiculous but they had fun.

Andrew starts Kindergarten

Andrew started Kindergarten. He seems to love it and likes his teacher. It is insanely (is that a word?) early in the morning. I drop him off about 7:05 or so. There are 2 kids in his class so hopefully they will be arranging soon. He has been doing good though. He gets right out of the car in car line and walks himself in. He looks so big doing that but he can find his way now all by himself....

Beach

We went to Ocean Isle on vacation this year. The weather was very nice. Not too hot most days. Andrew had a great time and learned to use the boogie board until he went under one time. Chloe hated it and would not stay on the beach for more than about 5 minutes. She "no like it" She"hot and no like sand"... ugghhh. But it was fun. The house we had was so much nicer this year than last year.

Chloe's First Day of Preschool :(

She did really good. They said she didn't really cry. She wanted to carry her bag but it was too heavy for her :) She is only going (2) mornings a week so I hope that she likes it. Hopefully she will find some friends. And then...... Chloe after school. She was soooo tired......

I have been so slack about taking pictures lately.... Kids being silly as usual. Both are getting so big. 2 weeks from today Andrew Starts Kindergarten and Chloe starts Preschool next week. Time flies. Andrew is so NOT exicted about Kinder. Not sure what to do about that..... At least we get to go on vacation before I have to deal with that :)

4th of July

Bugs and Rain

The kids catching bugs with their new bug catchers (in the rain I might add). They thought the 1.00 Store was just the best place yesterday and that is what they picked out. And as you can see, Chloe has fun catching herself.

The Goodbye Song

The kids singing the goodbye song. Turn your volume down :) This is funny. It's like they are putting on a show for you. I think this is one of the songs that Andrew sang at his graduation.

Andrew

Trying to hard to smile. I think this is hilarious. He doesn't like his picture taken anymore so he acts all silly.

Hairbows

Chloe is obsessed with her frog hairbows some nights and wants all of them in her hair. I think she looks silly but is SO cute!!!

Swimming

Andrew finished his first set of swimming lessons tonight. He did really good. He will even put his head under the water now and is starting to be able to swim alittle. I want him to not sink to the bottom if he falls in and it seems like we accomplished that. Here he is with his badge and certificate for passing the class.

TV

Watching their new favorite- Scooby Doo and yes it is the same Scooby that it was 30 years ago... makes me feel a little old but they love it. Chloe says Scooby, Scooby, Scooby... NOW when she wants to watch it.

New Sink

Everyone (well, not everyone since Dad is not pictured) helping Darrell with the new sink that mom and dad brought us. It is fabulous :) Now everything does not slide around on the bottom. Love it including the new hardware that went along with it. Oh, and my great new garbage disposale is nice too. Who would of though I would be happy about that.
Notice Chloe's hair is straight! I think it looks funny like that but she likes it to be straight when I am doing mine with the straightener in the mornings sometimes

Grandma and Chloe

Mom might kill me :) but these are so cute from there trip here two weeks ago. Chloe wanted to watch Wow Wow all the time on Mom's new ipad. Thankfully, she didn't care or we might have heard screaming if she wouldn't share...

Andrew graduates from Preschool

:) I didn't get any really good picutures because when they came back outside after their ceremony, they had their hats off.... I don't know why my kid is the one that had his hat pulled down almost over his eyes. It was cute though. They sang some songs and then his teacher said something about each kid.

I am so far behind with this blog :( .... Chloe doesn't like to go to bed before 10pm now and I am soooo tired by then. They had a great May. They got a new waterslide that they just LOVE. They also play so good together which is nice. They are both getting so big. Chloe is talking more and more and I can't believe Andrew is getting ready to go to Kindergarden in 12 weeks.
